Emergency Dentistry

Dental emergencies happen. Sometimes things arise that can wait to be tended to. At other times, pain prevents us from being able to wait. We understand. We are here to assist you in your dental emergency— even if you are not one of our registered patients. We welcome all patients to call us with their needs and are more than willing to help a patient in need to find relief from pain. Our group practice style allows us the ability to see emergency patients fairly quickly. If you have a dental emergency, please call our office and let us know.

What is Considered a Dental Emergency?

There are many different types of dental emergencies that range from minor to major. We have listed a few of the most common types of dental emergencies below:

  • A broken, chipped, or cracked tooth.
  • A chronic toothache.
  • A dislodged tooth.
  • A severe tooth infection or abscessed tooth.
  • Trauma to mouth or jaw.

For most of the dental emergencies listed above, we will be able to provide you with relief. If the injury is severe, such as a broken jaw, we will advise you to go to the nearest emergency room.

It is always best to schedule an appointment with one of our dentists at the first sign of a dental problem, while pain is manageable. Waiting until pain becomes severe usually leads to more serious problems, so it is important that we determine the cause very quickly.
