After graduating from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, Dr. Richter returned to her hometown of New Orleans to attend the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She graduated with honors and immediately moved to Alexandria, LA where she has been treating patients in private practice for almost 21 years. She is a past LSUSD President and National Trustee for The American Student Dental Association; Vice- President and President of the Central Louisiana Dental Association; and Chairperson for the Council on the New Dentist for the LDA. Dr. Richter speaks to children and adults about Oral Health as it relates to Overall Health and has a passion for airway centric orthodontics for optimal development… a topic she has lectured on to The Louisiana Dental Hygiene Association. She is a member of The American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Association of Orthodontics and the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics. Dr. Richter is active in her community, serving on the Dental Advisory Committee for the Community Health Worx Clinic where she is a regular volunteer, and served as a Board member of the Rotary Club of Alexandria for 5 years. She chaired the International Service Committee for several years and has served on the Executive Leadership Team for Go Red for Women. Courtney received the LDA’s New Dentist Award in 2011 and has recently received several local honors such as the YWCA Woman of the Decade in her 30’s and the Town Talk’s “20 Under 40” for Local Professionals. She participates in Dental Mission trips in Jamaica. Recently, she has researched and lectured on Generational Differences and their effects in business and philanthropy. Dr. Richter is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Dental Association, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the LSU School of Dentistry Alumni Association. She and her husband/partner, Dr. Carlton, III, share a love for their patients and their three daughters.
